The recent partnerships we’ve made are with the Texas Panhandle Pet Savers, Allois family who wish to host an Eastern European Orphan this summer, Garnet to fund his college education, and Tabitha for her study abroad trip to Israel.

It’s fundraising season once again for us here at Noir Naturals. This week we launched two Natural Soap Fundraisers, one to raise funds for fertility treatments and another for international student travel. We are also working on a number of other fundraisers to be launched later this month. It brings us such great joy working with others to help raise funds to meet a goal.
The Natural Soap Fundraising Program, by Noir Naturals is a unique alternative to raising funds, with something different. Soap is something that everyone uses and our soap is natural, earth friendly and made in Louisiana. I am so glad it’s a new year, because I sure had a rough 2014. My wife and I started 2014 with much excitement and plans for Noir Naturals, but we got slightly derailed as my mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February. I took a sabbatical from the business for most of the year to take care of mom and deal with grief after her passing in July. It was a rough year personally, but I’m happy to say that Noir Naturals had a great year, and ended 2014 strong.
I was particularly pleased with how well our natural soap fundraising program did this year. Noir Naturals was able to not only partner with non-profit organizations and individuals to help them raise funds, but we gave back to the community as well. We donated 54.4 lbs of food to Our Daily Bread Food Bank in Hammond, LA, and donated the rest of fundraising program proceeds to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Metairie, LA.
We will be starting the year off teaching a couple soap making history sessions, and soap making classes to more than 50 students. A few months ago the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, Chalmette Battlefield invited us to their 200th Commemoration of the Battle of New Orleans. We are excited to be a part of this historical event scheduled for later this week, on January 9th and 10th.
We have a number of wonderful plans for the rest of 2015, including finishing up our shampoo and conditioner line. We will be discontinuing a couple products that ran their life cycle, but will be replacing them with exciting new ones. We will be expanding our recently launched aromatherapy line, and working on a couple special customer product requests as well. And as usual we will have new lotion and soap scents introduced. We will continue to keep you posted as things progress.
In June, 2015 we will celebrate our 5th year in business. I am very thankful to God for the growth we have experienced in our business the past years. We will have a very special promotion in June to commemorate this 5 year achievement.
Fall is always a great, fulfilling time for us at Noir Naturals not only because of the cooler temperatures, and the red and orange leaves but particularly because it’s the time when we are able to help others raise funds to achieve their goals. The soap makers at Noir Naturals have been busy formulating new soap for Fall 2014. In the last month there have been two new goat milk soap launches, and more may be on the way.
Carnival is a Pink Sugar Type bar that reminds us of playful memories of Carnival rides, candy apples, pink cotton candy and caramel apples. Don’t let the dark brown color of the soap fool you, as it smells nothing like chocolate. Carnival retails for $5 and is a fun, exciting scent you are sure to love.
Great Outdoors is another bar tailored to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. This soap was formulated with essential oils to mask the human scent and help keep bugs at bay. Great Outdoors smells like dirt and leaves, so when used the individual smells much like the outdoors, keeping mosquitos, gnats and other insects away. It is a good choice for hunters as the human scent is disguised. Those fishing and who enjoy gardening, or spending time out on the porch will benefit from this bar as well. The month of June is a very special time for us as it marks the anniversary of Noir Naturals. Four years ago my husband Charles and I started the company. We’ve had both highs and lows over the past years, but more highs thank goodness. There were many long days and nights working in our store and or workshop and at shows, as we progressed along our journey of business growth. We’ve enjoyed every minute of our journey to say the least.
