Semi-wordless Wednesday: the world around us

How gorgeous is this time of year?   Sometimes we just sit and stare in wonder at the beauty of the world around us.  Take time to enjoy nature, even if you just look at pictures.

Semi-Wordless Wednesday: Gardening on the brain

Spring weather makes us think of gardening.  We can’t help it. We love the sight of majestic old Oak trees and the colors of blooming flowers.

Lavender is one of our all-time favorites. Graeme Weatherston photo.

Azaleas are high on our list of favorites, too.

We’re not sure what this one is called, but look at the colors! Do you know what it is?

There is nothing like sitting under an Oak!

As for our garden, it’s temporarily on hold.  Until we can plant, we’ll enjoy the fruits of others’ labor.  Have you started your garden?  What’s in it? Containers, raised beds, or in ground?

We’re coming home! Join us in Gonzales, LA this week!

So, what are your plans this week?  We’ll be at LSU!  Kind of.  We’ll actually be in beautiful Gonzales (LA) with LSU at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center for the 78th annual LSU AgCenter  Livestock Show!

Louisiana State University’s Ag Center’s mission is to innovate, educate, and improve lives; this event does all this and then some.  This week-long event is a showcase for youth and those who care for and exhibit livestock.  Louisiana 4H and Future Farmers of America members from across the state will be on hand for educational events, competition, awards, and livestock industry information.  This is not just about farming, but about shaping and encouraging future leaders.

We’ll be there all week and bringing all of your favorites, including an assortment of our goat’s milk soaps (including Baby Noir Goat’s Milk Soap), our unrefined Organic Ghana Shea Butter, our goat’s milk lotions (including Blue Angel Goat’s Milk Lotions), and more.  Join us on Monday and Tuesday from 9 am-3 pm, Wednesday from 1-5 pm, and Thursday and Friday from 9 am – 3.  Product demonstrations and a gift basket giveaway are also on our agenda this week.

If you’re in or near the Gonzales area, you can pick up your order at the arena.  Please keep in mind that this is a livestock show.  We’d love to see you, but don’t want any of you to be uncomfortable.

The Lamar Dixon Expo Center is located on 9039 S St Landry Ave in Gonzales, Louisiana.  Remember, we’ll be there all week!  We love coming home!
