It’s our Anniversary!

The month of June is a very special time for us as it marks the anniversary of Noir Naturals. Four years ago my husband Charles and I started the company. We’ve had both highs and lows over the past years, but more highs thank goodness. There were many long days and nights working in our store and or workshop and at shows, as we progressed along our journey of business growth. We’ve enjoyed every minute of our journey to say the least.

We’d like to thank our customers who have supported us over the years. Noir Naturals would not be where we are today had it not been for our customers, many of whom have been customers from inception.

To celebrate our 4 year anniversary we are offering a free shipping promotion on all orders through midnight June 17, 2014. Our regular shipping promotion is free shipping on orders over $50 but as we celebrate our birthday, we’re offering free shipping on all orders for a limited time only. We are extremely thankful to God that we have made it this far and pray that he continues to guide us and further grow our business for many years to come. We invite you to celebrate with us!

Oak Alley Plantation Fall Arts and Crafts Show is coming!

We cannot wait to see these tour ugides again!

We cannot wait to see these tour guides again!

We’re like kids on Christmas break – excited, giddy, and downright bouncy.  Oak Alley Plantation does it to us every time.  We always say this, but this arts and crafts festival will be the best.

On Saturday October 26 and Sunday the 27th, we’ll be back in Vacherie.  This will be our first trip to Oak Alley since we opened the retail store and we’ll have new products with us.  Three new coconut milk vegan soaps, a selection of fall and holiday soy wax cubes, and our new Hair and Scalp Oil will all be on hand.  We’ll also have our reformulated Dead Sea Mud Mask and 100% Pure Argan Oil with us.

Will you join us on Saturday or Sunday?

Oak Alley Plantation – We’re Coming Back!

There is nothing like coming home.

Don’t get me wrong, we love our house and really dig the new work space, but home is special.  And when we go home, we want to see Oak Alley Plantation.  If you haven’t been, you must!  It is just breathtakingly beautiful.  There are staff members in full costume walking the grounds, tours of the Big House, Alley of Oaks, and Salve Quarters. Reports of ghost sightings just make Oak Alley more interesting.

We loved our last visit to Oak Alley Plantation and look forward to seeing these tour guides again.

When we go, we’re usually working, but we make time to play.  This weekend we’ll be there for both.  The 7th Annual Fall Arts and Crafts Festival is here!  Admission is just $5 for ages 10 and up and free for kids 9 and younger.  We’ll be in Booth 107 on Saturday, October 20 from 9 am until 6 pm and Sunday the 21st from 9 am until 5 pm. We’ll have a little of everything available, including holiday (or anytime gift sets).  If you’re planning to be in Vacherie this weekend, come see us.  If you’d like, you can pre-order your purchases online and we’ll have your items packaged and ready for you.

Can you just picture how gorgeous the grounds are in Fall?  The weekend weather forecast looks great!  So, what are your weekend plans?

Semi-Wordless Wednesday: It’s Coming

We know it seems like summer just started, but it’s time to start thinking about what comes after.

We’re sorry, kids.  Maybe.  School isn’t that bad, is it?  We won’t mention it to you again for a bit.

Semi-Wordless Wednesday – Come on, football!

Yes, we love football.  Just a little.  We’re counting the days until September 5 like so many others.   All work and no play makes us all a little dull.

We love Houma, LA

Image

We’ll have all of your favorites on hand in Houma, including our Kon Tiki Vegan Coconut Milk Soap.

We love it on the Gulf Coast.  It gets hot, but there is no place on earth like it.  When we travel we like to stay close to home for the most part, and Houma, LA is one of our favorite places to visit.  There’s fishing all year, fantastic food, beautiful sites, great shopping, and gorgeous historical sites.  And don’t get us started on the people.  Southern hospitality is alike and thriving there.  And this weekend, we’re going back.

On Saturday, June 23 from 10 am – 6 pm and Sunday, June 24 from 10-5, we’ll be at The Gulf Coast Marketplace Festival.  We love this family-friendly event because it offers the best of everything – food, music, fun and games, and a assortment of goods from artisans and vendors from around the Gulf Coast.  There’s just a small chance of rain this weekend, so come by and enjoy the fun.  Just $2 admission and kids 12 and under get in free.

No matter your plans, have a great weekend!
